As a General and Gastrointestinal Surgeon with extensive experience in complex liver, gallbladder and pancreatic surgery, my priority is to provide each patient with expert, compassionate and personalised care, focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.

Education & Training

I am a specialist in General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, having completed my surgical training through Spain’s national residency programme (MIR) at the Consorcio Hospital General Universitario de Valencia (CHGUV), where I currently practise as a Consultant Surgeon.

Throughout my career, I have developed particular expertise in gastrointestinal cancer and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery, progressively incorporating minimally invasive and robotic techniques into my practice, with a special focus on liver and pancreatic surgery.

In 2017, I was awarded the Covidien-Medtronic Fellowship by the Valencian Society of Surgery, which gave me the opportunity to undertake specialist training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, an internationally renowned centre for cancer care and oncological surgery.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am actively involved in surgical education and specialist training, contributing to university programmes in robotic gastrointestinal surgery, including robotic liver and pancreatic surgery, as well as surgical planning using 3D reconstruction techniques.

I also contribute to surgical education at the Consorcio Hospital General Universitario de Valencia, supporting the training and professional development of future specialists in General and Gastrointestinal Surgery.

Continuing Professional Development

Ongoing learning, research and innovation are central to my surgical practice. I am committed to keeping at the forefront of new developments and incorporating the latest evidence, technologies and surgical techniques into patient care, particularly in gastrointestinal cancer, hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

My academic, research and teaching work includes:

Authorship and co-authorship of scientific publications and research presented at national and international meetings.
Regular participation in specialist courses and conferences, with a particular focus on gastrointestinal cancer and HPB surgery.
Presentation of research on advanced robotic HPB surgery at the 16th World Congress of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA) in Cape Town in 2024.
Research in gastrointestinal cancer surgery, including gastric cancer and perioperative care in patients undergoing gastric resection.
A 2018 award from the Valencian Society of Surgery for research into perioperative care in gastric resection.
Teaching and specialist training in robotic surgery, including robotic liver and pancreatic surgery and 3D surgical planning.

My goal is to translate advances in research and technology into better surgical care, offering each patient treatment that is evidence-based, up to date and tailored to their individual needs
