Education & Training

I graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia in 2006 and went on to complete my specialist training in General and Gastrointestinal Surgery through Spain’s national residency programme (MIR). During my training, I had the opportunity to further develop my expertise at two of Spain’s leading specialist units:

Transplant Unit, Hospital La Fe, Valencia
Colorectal Surgery Unit, Hospital General de Valencia

I also obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, completing a research project focused on bariatric surgery, which provided me with a strong foundation in clinical research in this field.

From the early stages of my surgical training, I developed a particular interest in breast disease and surgery. This led me to pursue further postgraduate training and subspecialise in Breast Surgery, including oncoplastic surgery, breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery. Key milestones in this area include Advanced Training in Oncoplastic and Breast Reconstruction Techniques and a Master’s Degree in Senology and Breast Disease from the University of Barcelona.

To complement my training in Breast Surgery, I have also completed a Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Facial Treatments at ESNECA. This additional training allows me to incorporate aesthetic principles into complex oncological procedures, with particular attention to patients’ body image and self-esteem.

My commitment to continuous professional development has also led me to complete a Master’s Degree in Advanced Surgery at Universidad Cardenal Herrera–CEU, together with postgraduate qualifications in General, Colorectal, Oesophagogastric, Bariatric, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management and the Management of Medical Centres, Clinics and Hospitals, as well as a Master’s Degree in Social and Communication Skills in Healthcare.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am actively involved in the education and training of future doctors and surgeons. I teach Anatomy and Gastrointestinal Surgery on the Medicine degree programme at the Universidad Católica de Valencia and am a member of the teaching faculty for the Master’s Degree in Breast Surgery run by the Spanish Association of Surgeons.
